Barbel are showing in the town section 3 anglers have been broken using 15lb straight through landed fish include a 12lb fish.this was not on pellet but sweet corn.

6th March 2004 Don (with a beard) fished all day opposite my window I saw him land a few great fish, the best was a fantastic 7lb 2oz chub and he had 7 others ALL over 6 lbs. He says he got broken twice by better fish probably Barbel over 10lb. All float fished maggot.
River in fine form I was talking to a chap this afternoon 5th March 2004 says he caught 3 salmon up to 8lbs in the past 2 weeks. Fished for half hour 1 chub about 4.5 lbs. Red maggot I went fishing 2nd March out the front for an hour 4pm till 5 I caught about 20lbs mixed bag Chub, Perch, and Roach, The best Roach was 1lb 8.5 oz photo is at the Chemists, a perch of similar size and the chub best about 2.5 lbs..........photos, as and when.

More photos added when fish are caught and I have a camera, a 14lb Barbel was caught in December03 200yds up stream, 28lb River pike 400 yds down stream, 5 roach over 2 lbs in September 150 yds up stream. I have lost count of the Chub I have caught over 5 lbs. all on free or day ticket water.
SHAD 21st June spoke to a chap who is an environmental surveyor he caught 2 shad on the town stretch about 2 half pounds on a small mepps on about the 8th June 2004. Pike ...................October I caught a river pike on the steps of the Hope and Anchor Weight about 27 lbs and it broke the landing net27the Feb 2005
Mixed bag 50 lbs plus Chub to 4 lbs, barbel to 6lbs 2nd March 2005 2 guys in a canoe last night reported that they saw loads of salmon jumping at dusk , in the Backney Bridge area Salmon spotted celt about 8lbs off the steps at the Hope and Anchor 15th July 2005 Barbel up to 14lbs are being caught on the town waters... 4mm fish paste pellet
Don still is catching fish one session opposite the Hope and Anchor steps Mis october 14 fish to 11 lbs. All on paste mid river pellets. he got snapped twice
